I was allowed in the gym for the kids' final gymnastics class for this session. Pretty funny. Owen was quite the chatterbug, telling Miss Amy, "I'm tired today. I got up too early"; refusing to do somersaults over the bar; and purposely knocking over every cone along the balance beam. What a rebel! At least in the gymnastics world, that is. They claimed to love it though, so we'll start the next session next week. Nadia, Bart--look out!

Halloween 2008
Sorry. I don't know what happened here. Not the best pics we've ever taken. But you get the idea. Nora's dress played music from Sleeping Beauty; Owen was called everyone from Dash to Jack-Jack, but he insisted he was Mr. Incredible. And look at those well-carved pumpkins! My husband, the anal-retentive carver. No stencils were used at this house!

Young Scientists
We had a great day at the Museum of Science & Industry, enjoying the hatching chicks, huge model train, farm equipment and, of course, our wonderful friends: Alejandro, Libby & Emma, Sophie & Evie.

MN
Our latest trip to MN was as fun as ever, albeit too short. We especially enjoyed spending time with our California cousin, Kelly, and of course, Uncle Bo-Bo. Happy 40th, Jim! We're not far behind...
July 4
We had a fun and festive 4th at the cottage. The weather could not have been better, and the kids stayed up for the fireworks for the first time. They oohed and ahhed like pros! They also had their first fishing lesson, and Nora was the official "worm-grabber." I tried not to show my absolute disgust as she dug through the dirt for the nightcrawlers. Some MN girl I am! Josh also took them each on a turn on the tube behind the boat. Next year: wakeboarding!
3T-Ball
The kids have been loving T-ball. They still have no idea which way to run, but they love the coach and his high-fives and playing with the other kids (including our BFF Violet).

Morning at the Zoo
We took advantage of the beautiful weather (finally!) and met Sophie, Evie, and Alejandro (and their moms, of course) for a few fun hours at the zoo. Highlights included the elephants, polar bears and monkeys. Standing on the barriers was really the most fun for those three and under.

Vacation . . . Seems so long ago!
On the road
Finally, some vacation picks for your viewing pleasure. We spent a few days in Savannah, which was rich in Southern style, history and hospitality. Once it warmed up, we had a couple of great days on the beach in Tybee. The kids loved standing at the surf as the waves crashed in. Overall, a great vacation!Easter morning
