Memorial Day

Despite the rain and mud, we had a nice time at the cottage over Memorial Day. Owen was in hog heaven, while Nora was fighting a fever so I can't use this weekend as a judge of her feelings about the lake.

Auntie and Uncle Sam found a cool bubble blower that doesn't tip and doesn't result in adults getting full of soap -- hooray! Other highlights included 5:30 am wakeup calls courtesy of Owen and a smelly dead fish that all three dogs decided to roll in. (Nesta, of course, went back for seconds and thirds.)

In honor of Post Pics of Your Pet Day, we rescued Nesta out of the van last night after being locked in there for three hours. Oops! I swear I'm a better mom to my kids than I am to my dog.

Nesta, you're wacky and wild, but we love ya!
